I prefer that which is evoked rather than declared. The boundless idea of what lies behind a veil of mist often surpasses anything we might otherwise see on a clearer day.

These are allusive images that gesture towards verities beyond the visible. It is not another world that I seek, but rather the depth of this one as experienced through a cultivated imagination.

Though I am dedicated to the photographic traditions of film capture and silver gelatin printing, I've also embraced digital inovations and find that the two processes are best treated as collaborators, not competitors.

I currently divide my time between the southwest of Japan and the northeast of the United States.

伝統的な写真、すなわちフィルムを元にしたシルバー／プラチナプリントを主に専門としていますが、場合によっては革新的なデジタル技法をも取り入れた方法での写真も考案しています。

現在、日本西南部、アメリカ北東部での生活を半年ずつ暮らしています。
