I prefer that which is evoked rather than declared. The boundless idea of what lies behind a veil of mist often surpasses anything we might otherwise see on a clearer day.
These are allusive images that gesture towards verities beyond the visible. It is not another world that I seek, but rather the depth of this one as experienced through a cultivated imagination.
Though I am dedicated to the photographic traditions of film capture and silver gelatin printing, I've also embraced digital inovations and find that the two processes are best treated as collaborators, not competitors.
